Chemical Free Cleaning

At Shimmer Glass and Pressure Cleaning being environmentally responsible is one of our greatest priorities and we make all our decisions with the environment in mind. Essentially this is not only a win for the world and our environment but also for our customers. As we know that so many of you are also environmentally conscious we wanted to provide you with a list of our recommended natural cleaning products. They are so easy to make and often you already have the ingredients in your cupboards at home. Really the hardest thing is finding some cute little bottles to use and making their labels!

Toilet cleaner

1/2 cup baking soda + 10 drops tea tree essential oil + 1/4 cup of vinegar

Mirror Cleaner

Vinegar (1 Part) + Water (4 Parts) + Lemon Juice

Bath and Shower

Pure white vinegar
Soak for 30 minutes then rinse

Disenfectant

2 cups water + 3 tablespoons liquid soap + 20-30 drops tea trea oil

Floor Cleaner

White Vinegar (1 Part) + Warm Water (2 Parts)

Furniture Polish

1/4 cup vinegar + 3/4 cup olive oil
or 1/4 cup lemon juice + 1/2 cup olive oil

Silver Cleaner

1 cup of baking soda + 1tspn salt
Leave it to soak
or Toothpaste remove with a cloth

Wood Cleaner

2 tbsps olive oil, 1 tbspn White Vinegar, 1Litre Warm Water in a spray bottle

Wall Cleaner

1/4 cup white vinegar + Warm Water (1 Litre)
Heavy stains remove with baking soda

Bleach

Lemon Juice added to the rinse cycle
